ECB Clubmark

Gerrards Cross Cricket Club has been awarded ECB Clubmark Accreditation.

The Clubmark accreditation scheme runs in partnership with Sport England and by joining the scheme GXCC, together with many other clubs across England and Wales, are prioritising junior development and creating a benchmark for high quality community club cricket.

We have had, and will continue to receive, support from our County Cricket Board, County Sports Partnership and our County Cricket Development Officer to help us through the process.

To gain ECB Clubmark Accreditation we have presented evidence to show that the Club has well established existing practices and procedures within the Youth section. GXCC is required to present evidence and demonstrate implementation across four different themes, culminating in the production of a Club Development Plan across the whole spectrum of club activities.

The four themes are:-

  • Duty of Care and Safeguarding children
  • The Cricket Programme
  • Sports Equity and Ethics
  • Club Management
We have compiled and submitted our evidence file to the ECB. The Development Plan still has to be formulated and the committee are charged with this task.

In this section of the Website you will find copies of documents, such as Codes of Conduct, which are part of that Evidence File. Please familiarise yourselves with these codes.

There will be various notices on display in the Clubhouse relating to Clubmark which you are asked to read.
