Sport Section


 

Gerrards Cross Sports Club exists to provide a hub for sport and leisure activities for all members of the local community. It is a sports association set up as a trust and is ultimately owned by the members of the club.

 

As well as the sports sections running their own events, the club runs a number of events for all members, guests and visitors.

 

The Club has 3 sections that run their own respective sport. The sports club dates back to 1882 and moved from the Common to its present site in 1912. The present clubhouse was built on its current site in 1985. It is a thriving and very social club with lots going on.

 

Individuals who are non-playing are more than welcome to join the club as social members (playing members need all the support they can get!)

Cricket


 

There are three senior sides who play on a Saturday and one that plays on Sundays. There is a large young cricketers section playing from 6 to 16 years of age.

 

The club is proud of the number of colts selected to play for the County over the years. Not forgetting the 2 or 3 who have gone on to be selected for England.

Hockey


 

The Hockey section has 3 adult men’s teams and 2 ladies teams. There is also a junior section.

Tennis


 

All standards of tennis player are welcome, from rusty racket beginners to experienced top level team players

 

The coaching team is led by Tom Dean who runs coaching sessions to suit all ages and levels of ability.

 

There are regular social tennis sessions for juniors and seniors as well as team tennis.

 

All courts have recently been refurbished and 4 courts have floodlights.
